Michael
Yang
Co-founder & Chairman of the Board, Verifia Inc.
Michael Yang co-founded Verifia Inc. in 2000. He is a veteran entrepreneur
with over 20 years of experience in high-tech industry and has held various
technical and management positions in Silicon Valley. His previous
experience includes positions at Xerox Palo Alto Research Center, Intergraph
Corp., and Samsung Electronics Company Ltd. Prior to founding Verifia,
Michael was Founder, Chairman & CEO of mySimon Inc, the premier online
comparison shopping service. For this venture, Michael and his team
successfully raised $30M from Brentwood Venture Capital, Sprout Group, Intel
Capital, and CitiCorp Venture Capital. mySimon was recognized by TIME as one
of the top 20 e-Commerce services in 1999 and the company was successfully
acquired by CNET for $700M in early 2000. Michael is a proven entrepreneur
who is passionate about leveraging new technologies to solve real-life
problems and build successful companies. He serves on the board of the
Stanford Institute of Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) at Stanford
University, as well as several other universities and non-profit
organizations. Also, Michael served as a member of the IT Advisory Council
for President George W. Bush. He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering
and Computer Science from UC Berkeley, a M.S. in Computer Science from
Columbia University and a M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business at UC
Berkeley.

SanKu Jo
Co-founder & CTO, Verifia Inc.
SanKu is an expert in Internet infrastructure and security
with over 13 years of experience in telecommunications,
networks and Internet technologies. Prior to co-founding
Verifia, SanKu worked at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory
as a Computer Scientist on the Next Generation Internet
(NGI) and Distributed Parallel Storage System (DPSS)
projects. Previously he worked for six years for the
Korean Telecom Research Center as a member of their
technical staff. He started the first Internet-based
Bulletin Board Systems (KIDS) in Korea back in 1991
and authored an Internet Guide Book in 1995. SanKu received
a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, emphasizing Internet
architecture and agent-assisted scalable video-conferencing,
from Texas A&M University and B.S. and M.S. degrees
in Computer Engineering from KwangWoon University in
Korea.

Younghoon
David Kim
Chairman, Daesung Group
YoungHoon is the chairman and CEO of Daesung Group which,
with a history of 55 years, is a pioneer in Korea's
energy industry and includes Taegu City Gas Co., Ltd.,
Kyoungbuk City Gas Co., Ltd., YEN Co., Ltd., Korea Cable
TV Kyunggi Center Co., Ltd., R&R Remodeling Co.,
Ltd., Sinai Media Co., Ltd., Gloria Trading Co., Ltd.,
B.I.G. Co., Ltd., BiNEXT Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. While contributing
to the development of domestic energy industry by exploring
overseas energy resources and introducing city gas which
is environment-friendly, he has been expanding the Group's
scope of business to the fields of information, communications,
environment and construction. He realized a "debt-free
management" by improving financial structure through
rational and transparent operation which led the Group
to earn a nickname "IMF-free Zone" during
the 1997 foreign currency crisis and be praised as having
created a new advanced business model. As the Korea
representative to ABAC(APEC Business Advisory Council)
under APEC, YoungHoon has been demonstrating his outstanding
leadership in developing international energy and environmental
policies and projects. Recently he was elected chairman
of Partnership for Equitable Growth which is implementing
the Asia Gas Grid (AGG) project worth eight billion
dollars which constructs a gas transmission pipeline
from Indonesia to Shanghai, China. As Chairman of Korea
City Gas Association, YoungHoon is now leading the privatization
of domestic gas business which is one of the critical
pending national issues. YoungHoon has a bachelor's
degree in law from the Seoul National University and
master's degrees in law and business administration
respectively from the University of Michigan. He studied
international economics as a special student at the
Graduate School of Art and Science, Harvard University.
He also completed a master's degree course in theology
at the Harvard Divinity School.

Marty
Sukle
Partner, Alps Investment Research, LLC
Marty serves as the Vice President of Finance and one
of three Operating Managers for Alps Investment Research,
LLC which serves as the General Partner of Alps Information
Technology Fund, LP. His primary focus is on growing
early stage information technology companies in the
areas of optics, wireless communications and Internet
infrastructure and services. Marty is directly involved
in the establishment of strategic alliances and the
formation of technology partnerships with the portfolio
companies and ALPS. He was extensively involved in the
organization and formation of ALPS' first venture capital
fund. Marty is also involved in corporate strategic
business development, finance and is a member of Alps
North America executive committee. Prior to joining
ALPS, he held various positions at Fujitsu America,
Inc. and KPMG. At KPMG, he specialized in the areas
of tax and accounting for information technology companies.

Bonwan Koo
Partner LG Venture Investment Inc.
Bonwan travels the world identifying and evaluating
new technology trends and companies for LG Ventures.
Most recently, he has dealt with companies in Europe,
North America, the Mid East, and Asia-Pacific. He has
deep experience in the corporate finance and venture
capital arenas. His past experience includes corporate
accounting management, materials trading, and the development
of worldwide market entry strategies for LG International
PVC division. He received his B.S. in business administration
from the University of Louisville and graduated with
an M.B.A. in marketing and finance from U.C. Berkeley.

Jeremy
Woan
CEO, The Bampton Group
With 20 years of experience in successfully growing
companies in the US and Europe, Jeremy is a recognized
expert in managing investment in and growing technology
companies. He has helped build and take public two companies
and is co-founder of several others.
Previously, Jeremy was chairman and CEO
of Clinical Computing, which, under his leadership,
grew to become the leading supplier of renal dialysis
information systems. The company captured market share
of more than 40% in North America, with client or strategic
partner relationships with major companies in its field.
In addition to directing the company's product and brand
development strategies and creating direct and indirect
sales channels, Jeremy assembled institutional investors
and positioned the company for successful IPO and secondary
offerings.
Before Clinical Computing, Jeremy was
Deputy CEO of Tadpole Technology, the producer of RISC
notebooks, high-performance board level systems and
enterprise solutions. At Tadpole, he helped negotiate
and structure a strategic partnership with, and investment
from, IBM and formulated a strategic plan around the
Sparcbook product line. Jeremy led and managed a highly
successful IPO and created a strong investor profile
for the company. He is a native of the United Kingdom
and maintains homes in London and San Francisco. He
holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University
of Cambridge.

Lisa T. Wilhelm
Owner & Principal, Wilhelm Associates
Lisa specializes in payment risk management strategy
and solution consulting for financial service companies.
Her clients include Primary Payment Systems, Inc., Efunds,
First Union Bank, Branch Banking & Trust, NASA Federal
Credit Union, Paymybills.com, Payme.com, Global Payment
Advisors, Livecapital.com, Washington Mutual FA, GE
Card Services, Visa, and Jamoka (a financial services
eMarket). She has 20 years of executive experience in
risk management and retail banking, and a successful
track record of innovating, delivering, and scaling
reengineered products, services, and operations. As
a Senior Vice President of Wells Fargo, she pioneered
the development and delivery of deposit account behavior
and credit score-driven retail decision strategies to
the points of transaction, account acquisition, and
product cross-sell. She also launched over 40 new central
and distributed fraud detection and loss prevention
programs, including predictive decision and AI technology
solutions, helping to establish Wells Fargo as the leader
in the deposit portfolio risk field. Lisa has appeared
on NBC DateLine and CNN, and has been widely quoted
in local and national news programs, magazines, and
newspapers as well as industry trade journals. She is
an alumnus of the CBA Graduate School of Retail Bank
Management at the University of Virginia, the University
of Maine, La Sorbonne in France, and the Goethe Institute
in Germany.

Ken
Rhie
President, Z60 Ventures
Ken brings more than 20 years of experience in general
management, marketing, and product development. His
technology expertise ranges from the Internet, client/server
database, desktop software, and computer telephony.
As founding president and CEO of ThinkFree Corp., a
Silicon Valley-based software service provider, he raised
over $20 million in venture financing and worked with
ASP's and portals to offer a full suite of office application
services. ThinkFree Office was nominated as a finalist
for PC Magazine's Technical Excellence Award at Comdex
2000. Prior to ThinkFree, Ken invented the world's first
voice browser, building an Internet telephony company
as the Founder and CEO, NetPhonic Communications, which
was acquired by General Magic. The Web -On-Call Voice
Browser won 7 prestigious industry awards including
Best Product of the Year from Mobile Computing, and
1997 Product of the Year from Computer Telephony. Ken
has a B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University
and an M.B.A. from Harvard.

Glen
Van Ligten
Partner, Venture Law Group
Glen specializes in working with emerging growth Internet
companies, with an emphasis in venture capital financing,
public offerings, corporate partnerships and mergers
and acquisitions. He also has significant experience
representing venture capital and investment banking
firms. Clients with whom Glen has worked include: eToys,
Cooking.com, JumpData, Goldman Sachs, and Credit Suisse
First Boston. Glen is co-head of VLG's Internet Practice
Group and a member of VLG's Executive Committee. Prior
to joining Venture Law Group in March 1996, Glen was
a business and technology associate at Brobeck, Phleger
& Harrison LLP. Glen graduated from the University
of California at Davis in 1985 with a degree in Managerial
Economics. In 1990, Glen graduated with honors from
U.C. Hastings College of Law, where he was a member
of the Thurston Society.

Geist
Law Professor - University of Ottawa & Director
of E-Commerce Law - Goodmans LLP
Michael Geist is a law professor at the University of
Ottawa specializing in Internet and e-commerce law and
Director of E-Commerce Law with the Canadian law firm
of Goodmans LLP. He has written numerous academic articles
and government reports on the Internet and law. Michael
is also a national columnist on cyberlaw issues for
the Globe and Mail and is on the advisory boards of
several leading Internet law publications including
Electronic Commerce & Law Report (BNA), the Journal
of Internet Law (Aspen) and Internet Law and Business
(Computer Law Reporter). In June of 2001, Michael was
publicly elected to the board of the Canadian Internet
Registration Authority, the dot-ca administrative agency.
He is regularly quoted in the national and international
media on Internet law issues and has appeared before
government committees on e-commerce policy. He has law
degrees from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Cambridge
University in the United Kingdom, and Columbia Law School
in New York.

A. L. Narasimha
Reddy
Associate Professor, Electrical Engineering, Texas A&M
University
Narasimha Reddy, an award-winning Internet infrastructure
expert, is currently leading Texas A&M projects
on building scalable multimedia storage server based
on networked workstations. His group is also exploring
various issues related to Network QOS. The professor's
research areas include: Multimedia, I/O systems, Network
QOS and Computer Architecture. Previously, Dr. Reddy
worked at IBM where he co-architected and designed a
topology-independent routing chip operating at 100 MB/sec,
designed a hierarchical storage management system and
participated in the design of video servers and disk
arrays. He received his B.Tech. degree in Electrical
Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology,
Kharagpur, India, and M.S. and Ph.D degrees in Computer
Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign,
where he received an IBM Graduate Fellowship. He is
a member of ACM SIGARCH, is a senior member of IEEE
Computer Society, and received a National Science Foundation
Career award in 1996.
