Sales and Marketing

Vice President of Sales
Verifia is now seeking a VP Sales to lead the sales team for the company's recently launched enhanced login authentication products. While this role will include responsibility for managing all sales efforts, including building a prospect pipeline with existing sales staff and managing this through to close, it is crucial that the successful candidate be a hands-on sales professional who will lead by example in aggressively seeking out and closing sales prospects.

The successful candidate will have not less than 10 years' experience in enterprise software sales and will have a thorough understanding of technology integration and infrastructure issues and the ability to address these with prospective clients. They will be a self-starter with a strong demonstrable track record of identifying and engaging prospects and successfully leading a complex sales and procurement cycle through to close. Verifia is looking for a VP of sales with depth of experience and contacts in the Internet security industry and especially in selling security products and solutions into financial services organizations. Preferably the candidate will have proven their ability rapidly to generate sales of emerging technologies and solutions and build a powerful portfolio of early adopters for these. BS or BA degree is required.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Penetrate new accounts in the financial services industry.
• Develop sales strategy and plan, and lead the team to exceed sales target

Must Haves:

• 7+ years enterprise software sales experience. Prior experience with security products in the financial services industry is a big plus
• Strong track record of exceeding sales quota and revenue goals
• Ability to think strategically and develop sales plan
• BS or BA degree in either liberal arts or technical areas; MBA a plus.
• Ability to understand and communicate with internal staff and with customers regarding technical issues.
• Ability to work in small start-up environment that will quickly scale to large enterprise.
• Proven ability to hire, manage and grow an effective sales organization

Engineering

Test Engineer
As a Software Test Engineer, you will test Verifia's products and database. You will be asked to come up with testing scenarios and report the problem areas and bugs. You will need to get into the mind of the users, use the product as they would, and figure out just how many different ways they might break it. By maintaining the customer's viewpoint at all times, you help developers identify and fix bugs before they become issues.

Skills Required:

• A BS or graduate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related technical discipline
• Experience in Perl, Java, and C/C++
• A high degree of concentration.
• Enjoy working as a team

Release Engineer
As a Release Engineer, you will build an initial release process for Verifia™. You will develop release processes, procedures and select release tools. Your responsibility includes developing initial project plan, assigning individual roles and managing day-to-day activities associated with the release.

Skills required:

• 4+ years of release engineering experience
• Release Manager experience preferred
• Extensive experience using Java, C, C++, server and clients using DBMS

Web Engineer
Dreaming HTML in your sleep? Know the latest revisions to the W3C HTML spec? We need people that enjoy working with artists and interface designers in translating visual page layouts into working code. You must be able to write clean code and create efficient template structures for Web delivery. This is not a purely production job. We expect candidates to contribute to the design process and participate in decisions that affect the presentation of information.

Skills Required:

• HTML 4.1, JavaScript and a working knowledge of graphics production tools
• XML or Flash knowledge preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in a web production environment
• Ability to organize, prioritize work, and meet agreed deadlines
• Ensure compatibility across browsers and platforms, and detail oriented
• Good communication skills and a team player

Sr. DBA
The Verifia™ DBA will be responsible for database design, development, and maintenance of the existing Verifia™ database system. The current database system is in mySQL, but future migration to Oracle is planned. The DBA is also responsible for tuning and maintenance of the database. This position will monitor and maintain all backup procedures. The DBA is a solution finder who is comfortable and calm in the face of rapid change and can work closely with a team of software engineers to create a database driven web application written in Perl, Java, C, and C++.

Skills required:

• 5 years Oracle DBA experience using a UNIX platform, Sun Solaris and Linux.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills

• High energy and strong work habits

Sr. Network System Administrator
As a Senior System Administrator for Verifia™, you will be responsible for system and network administration and support in development and production of UNIX systems. Strong networking experience, hardware and network configuration, mySQL and oracle database, and systems management tools or similar a big plus.

Skills required:

• Unix, NT products (netbackup, volume manager, file system, first watch)
• DNS, sendmail, shell and perl scripting
• System automation, security management tools, and networking experience
